DATA PROTECTION
Important Note on the Privacy Policy
We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy.
Use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Whenever personal data (such as name, address, or email address) is collected on our pages, this is done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.
Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email) can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.
Website Analytics
When you visit our website, we collect information about your usage through a web analytics tool provided by our hosting service. This tool collects and combines your IP address and user agent, shortens them, and stores this data using a hash function. This process creates a visitor identifier that is encrypted with a randomly generated value (SALT) that changes every 24 hours. This ensures that your IP address cannot be reconstructed from the stored visitor identifier, preserving your anonymity. We also do not merge this information with other data, and it is only stored on the hosting provider's server.
We also process web analytics data, HTTP data, and web analytics profile data. The analytics tool we use creates and stores a web analytics profile that includes details about your use of the site, such as page views, visit frequency, time spent on each page, and your device’s user agent. This includes usage data (such as visited pages and access times) and communication data (such as browser type, operating system, and IP addresses).
The purpose of processing this data is to analyze user behavior in aggregated form in order to improve the presentation and content of our website. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. (f) GDPR), particularly in conducting web measurement to improve our products and website.
The collected data is shared with our website hosting provider and processed within the EU.
Use of Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The data obtained is used to optimize our website and advertising efforts.
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes usage data on our behalf and is contractually obliged to ensure the security and confidentiality of the processed data.
During your visit to the website, the following data, among others, is transmitted to Google:
-
Pages viewed
-
Achievement of “website goals” (e.g., contact requests and newsletter sign-ups)
-
Your behavior on the pages (e.g., time spent, clicks, scroll depth)
-
Your approximate location (country and city)
-
Your IP address
-
Technical information such as browser, ISP, device, and screen resolution
-
The source of your visit (i.e., via which website or advertising medium you came to us)
-
A randomly generated user ID
No personal data such as name, address, or contact details is transmitted to Google Analytics.
This data is transferred to Google servers in the USA. Please note that the USA does not guarantee the same level of data protection as within the EU.
Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for up to two years from your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID that enables recognition on future visits.
The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which allows the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. These user-related data are automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form indefinitely.
If you do not agree to this data collection, you can prevent it by installing the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics once or by rejecting cookies through our cookie settings dialog.
Use of Calendly
We also use the online booking system Calendly. The service provider is the American company Calendly Inc., 115 E. Main St., Ste A1B, Buford, GA 30518, USA.
Calendly also processes your data in the USA, among other locations. Calendly is an active participant in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which regulates the correct and secure transfer of personal data from EU citizens to the USA. You can find more information at:

Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) are templates provided by the EU Commission to ensure that your data continues to meet European data protection standards even when transferred and stored in third countries (such as the USA). Through the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and SCCs, Calendly commits to maintaining European data protection standards when processing your relevant data, even if stored, processed, and managed in the USA.
